During an October weekend, our dorm students went on an autumn adventure to a local apple orchard. They filled baskets with fresh apples and enjoyed the perfect weather and countryside atmosphere. Back on campus, our Food Techniques teacher, Mrs. Angela Livingston ('05), taught the students how to transform the produce into delicious mini apple pies. It was a relaxing and enjoyable way to experience Wisconsin autumn and bond as a dorm community.
Last weekend was the popular holiday Halloween, and the students took a huge role in planning, decorating, and leading activities for a Halloween party in the dorm. All three floors of Honey Creek Hall were decorated. There was a marathon of Halloween-themed movies playing all weekend long. The students even created a “haunted hallway” in the girls’ and boys’ floors, and many students dressed up in costumes. 其他 activities included pumpkin carving, cookie decorating, and a variety of games. The Residential Activities Committee received a lot of well-deserved gratitude for their hard work to make this event happen for their dorm family. This was Honey Creek Hall’s 5th annual Halloween party and has become a favorite tradition every year!
